Hobbies
Back in the mid-nineties, I participated in mid and long-distance triathlons in my native country of Colombia. Today, my passion for cycling is stronger, even though I just do it for fun, as a family activity, and for all positive emotions like joy, staying calm, being alert, feeling peaceful, confident, powerful, etc.
Previous Experience Getting Started in the Industry
How it all began
After 7 years of working with a small construction company, I fell in love with the construction profession, its complexity, and the way it can help change a homeowner’s life. That’s why I decided to begin my own home remodeling business, Silva Construction for Home Remodeling in January 2010. I am thankful for all that I have experienced in the past and that love and passion is now ingrained in every one of the hundreds of renovations we have completed. As an expert home renovation contractor who settles for nothing less than high-quality craftmanship, I enjoy helping homeowners achieve their dreams of having an updated, comfortable, and beautiful home.
Today
Again, Passion and Creativity brought us here, that is our success formula. I can’t think of any other industry where I can express and enjoy these qualities to lead, manage, and create lasting impacts, all while connecting with customers the way we are able to do today.

Giving Back:
People do heroic acts to save someone’s life from dangerous situations on the street, because they think it is the right thing to do. However, you don’t have to risk your life to help others, we don’t have to wait for a disaster to act, we can help a little bit (un poquito) every day.
I may be an idealist, but I think if all business owners contribute $20 or $30 per month, we could eradicate malnutrition and provide basic treatments to save many kids’ lives. Children should not die from diarrhea, malaria, or minor infections in poor countries with today’s medical advanced resources and treatments.
SCG (Silva Construction Group) provides financial support and sponsors children, and has for many years, through World Vision.
